Abbott – Recall of Similac®, Alimentum®, EleCare® infant formula
April 8 2022 - Abbott announced an expansion of the consumer-level recall of Similac, Alimentum and EleCare infant formulas after four consumer complaints related to Cronobacter sakazakii or Salmonella Newport in infants who had consumed powder infant formula manufactured at one of Abbott’s facilities. Additional lots are being recalled. This is an expansion to the recall that was first announced February 17, 2022.
