Welchol®(colesevelam) – New formulation approval
April 3, 2019 - The FDA approved Daiichi Sankyo’s Welchol (colesevelam) chewable bars, as an adjunct to diet and exercise to reduce elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in adults with primary hyperlipidemia and as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
